Bell is a two storey Victorian terrace in Fitzroy, fully renovated by TCON with Matt Gibson Architecture + Design, who carried both the architecture and the interiors. The street front keeps its iron lacework and rendered facade, and the work happens behind it, a complete internal rebuild inside the original terrace envelope.
Terrace sites leave little room to move, so the work ran inside the original walls. Oak boards run the length of the plan through an arched hallway, with a black runner stair at its centre. The kitchen pairs grey stone with open brass shelving, and the bathrooms carry stone, green tile and skylit showers.
The result is a terrace that looks untouched from the street and lives like a new home inside. Architecture and interiors by Matt Gibson Architecture + Design; built by TCON.
