Building a basement beneath an existing home

Adding a basement under an established home is one of the more technical projects we take on. The work turns on getting the early questions right: how the ground will be excavated and retained, how water is kept out for the life of the home, and what the planning overlay allows on the site.

We price these projects with the structural and waterproofing detail resolved first, so the budget reflects the real conditions below ground rather than an optimistic allowance. That is also where a builder brought in during design earns their place.
