Team

A team of individuals, named

TCON structures every project around named people in named roles. The structure is consistent across every project, and clients and architects know who they are working with.

There is no rotating cast and no handballing between departments. The estimate carries into delivery, the site team is accountable for what leaves the site, and the same senior eyes stay on a project from the first conversation to the final inspection.

It is a deliberate way to build a company, and it grows more slowly than hiring at volume. TCON accepts that trade. The result is a team of individuals who know their craft, know each other and know every project by name.

Questions homeowners ask

TCON runs a small senior team by design. Tim Walker leads the practice. Simon leads estimating. George, our Operations Manager, leads the core operations group that manages projects, site delivery, financial control and administration, supported by highly experienced, in-house project managers who carry direct accountability for their projects. Specialist roles such as quality assurance and Build Care are dedicated. The team is intentionally lean so that senior people stay close to every project, and every client knows exactly who is responsible for what.

Yes. Tim stays heavily involved on every project, from the first conversation through to handover. He stays across the decisions that matter most, the design intent, the significant variations and the final sign off, while trusting the team to run the day to day. He does not sit in every meeting, and that is deliberate. It gives our people the room to grow and strengthen their skills, with senior oversight where it counts rather than management looking over their shoulder.

Considered people who care about the craft of construction. Long-term thinkers. People comfortable raising a question before it becomes a problem, and people who take as much pride in the state of a site as in the finish of a benchtop. The hiring bar is set deliberately high, which is why the team grows slowly. TCON would rather hold a role open than fill it with the wrong person, because every name on the structure carries real accountability to clients and architects.

In-house, always. Every TCON project manager is a highly experienced TCON employee with direct accountability for delivery. There are no external project managers and no subcontracted supervision. This keeps the line of communication short, the standard consistent and the accountability personal. When a client calls about their project, they speak with the person responsible for it.
