The systems behind a TCON build
Architectural construction depends on information, decisions and accountability moving together. TCON uses an integrated set of systems to connect estimating, procurement, project management, site delivery, commercial administration, quality, safety and client communication. Each platform has a defined role. Buildertrend supports the client-facing project record. Asana carries workflows and RFIs. Instagantt holds the master program. BuildPass is TCON's own system for site governance, safety, quality and inspection records. CostX supports measured estimating, Bluebeam supports drawing review and Xero supports accounting and cost coding. The value is not the software itself. It is the ability to identify the current document, responsible person, required date and effect of a decision across a complex build.
Buildertrend for client reporting
Buildertrend provides the central client-facing record during construction. Weekly updates bring together progress photographs, work completed, upcoming activities and decisions required. Relevant drawings, contract information, progress claims and approved commercial records can be presented through the same environment according to the needs of the project. Program information reported to the client reflects the master program maintained in Instagantt rather than creating a second schedule. A client or architect can return to the written update and understand what was known at that point in the build. This reduces reliance on separate email chains and gives project meetings a current, common starting position.
Asana for workflow and RFIs
Asana carries internal workflow, procurement actions and the structured RFI register. Each design clarification receives a reference, an owner, a response date and a documented close-out. Procurement tasks can be linked to the information, approval and deadline required before an order or fabrication release. The platform gives project managers, contract administrators and the operations team a shared view of open work without relying on personal reminders. RFIs still require direct professional judgement from the architect, engineer, builder or relevant consultant. Asana does not make that decision. It keeps the question, responsibility and response visible so the answer reaches the site team and remains available when related work is delivered later.
Instagantt for the live program
TCON maintains the master construction program in Instagantt. The program connects site activities with procurement, consultant information, inspection points and client decisions. Critical work can be viewed against the activities that precede and follow it, while shorter look-ahead schedules translate the master program into practical preparation for the trades approaching site. Long-lead packages are tracked from design information and review through fabrication and delivery. When a confirmed event changes the sequence, the effect is recorded and explained through project reporting. The program is a working control tool, not a static contract attachment. It helps the team identify pressure early enough to respond without asking unfinished work to carry the consequence.
BuildPass for site governance and quality records
BuildPass is TCON's own system for site governance, inductions, safety, quality, inspections, photographs and rectification. It is not an independent inspection service. TCON remains responsible for the builder-led quality process, while the architect, engineer and other consultants review work within their appointed scope. Project-specific inspection points can be recorded against the relevant location and stage, with photographs and actions retained as part of the construction record. Where an item requires rectification, responsibility and close-out can be tracked before dependent work proceeds where practicable. The system supports accountability on site, but it does not replace supervision, trade knowledge, consultant review or the statutory inspections required for the project.
CostX, Bluebeam and Xero
CostX supports measured estimating through the TCON Pre-Construction Program and tender. Quantities and pricing can be organised against the developing design so cost movement is connected to an identifiable scope. Bluebeam supports drawing review, mark-up and coordination across architectural and consultant information. Xero supports company accounting and project cost coding, including the records required for fixed-price and cost-plus administration. These systems serve different parts of the commercial and document process. Used together, they allow an estimate, drawing clarification, procurement action and actual cost to retain a traceable relationship. Final commercial treatment remains governed by the building contract and the project-specific records issued under it.
How information moves through a project
Information developed in Pre-Construction needs to arrive with the delivery team in a usable form. Feasibility assumptions carry into tender. Tender inclusions, exclusions and allowances inform project set-up. Procurement priorities connect to the program and current documents. RFIs move from a site or design question to the responsible consultant and back to the people completing the work. Inspection records and product information contribute to handover. Weekly reporting gives the client and architect a clear view of progress and upcoming decisions. TCON's systems are arranged around these transitions so information is not repeatedly reconstructed as the project moves between estimating, office, site and aftercare.
Systems in service of building judgement
No platform can decide whether a junction will read correctly, whether a sequence is practical or whether an existing condition changes the intended method. Those decisions rely on experienced people reading the information and the site. TCON's systems support that judgement by making current documents, actions, deadlines and records available to the people responsible. A system that adds noise or separates the office from site has little value. The aim is a clear operating environment in which the project team can see what requires attention, consultants can respond to defined questions and clients can receive information that is current, specific and useful for the next decision.
